Just Us Two Education.

My name is Sarah and I have been working with children for the last 10 years. At the age of 24 I was offered the most incredible opportunity to become a nanny for a wonderful family who travelled around the world. Looking after two small children whilst exploring new countries and cities ignited a passion within me to find ways to combine learning and adventure and to look at how children thrive in different environments.

 

After 2 magical years, the time came to take the next step in my career. I began working in a prominent and high-achieving independent school where I was able to complete my PGCE and Masters Degree in Education. This is where I learnt about the various pedagogies that would go on to shape my style of teaching.

 

Another 5 years passed and I was ready for the next challenge. During the turbulent year of 2021, I took the decision, alongside my husband, to move to Shanghai and begin teaching at one of their leading international schools. Here, I gained a first-hand experience of the importance of multi-cultural education and inclusion.

 

When my son was born in the summer of 2023, I knew my life was going to head in a new direction. Teaching is a part of who I am, and I truly believe that education is the single most important thing we should offer our children. However, I do not believe this has to be done within the setting of a school and that many children, particularly at a younger age, will flourish in alternative settings.

 

With that in mine, I created J-us-T Education to offer others the opportunity to take on a bigger role in their children’s education by empowering them to understand the concepts and techniques within learning. My aim is to demonstrate the impact that child-focused and holistic education can have when learning at home.
